Dan's blogger not answering anymore at least from my computer

Check this out interesting reading, Homwrdbound

Culprit less crime, I got this from another blogger named Dan at

or maybe I should have called this We’re All to Blame. You can look at it either way. Either we’re all implicated in this mess that is called church, or you can’t really blame anyone.

I’m going to say something that may sound a bit surprising: I don’t think pastors are evil. I know, I told you it would be surprising. Let me clarify. I do think that pastors are given a dangerous amount of authority over the spiritual and emotional growth of the people they “serve.” I also think that pastors profit from “serving” others. I think that a system is in place that keeps pastors above and, most detrimental, separated from the congregation, forcing the congregation to need the pastor, and therefore forcing them to pay him. Sounds pretty evil, and it would be if pastors actually went into pastoring for the above reasons. I don’t think many do. I think lots of pastors want to serve Christ and the Church and all that, they just have been so immersed in the church system that they don’t know any other way. They feel like it is important to do stuff for God. I believe for many it is because they genuinely love Him. They think that pastoring is the way to do that. They’re wrong, but not evil.

Then there is the poor helpless congregation. These people don’t know their left from right, and they are being misguided into some crazy religious pyramid scheme by their pastor. Well, I don’t think that is exactly accurate either. Honestly, I think that it is quite possible that if anyone is to blame, the congregation might be at the top of the list. Following Jesus is hard. It requires sacrifice. It takes time. It might make you vulnerable. It might get you hurt. It would be a lot easier to just throw money at someone else to do all that hard stuff for you. I can’t grow vegetables, so I pay someone else to do it for me and I buy their product at the grocery store. What if I could make my spiritual experience the same way? What if I could say that I’ve done my share because I have paid someone else to do the studying, and the visiting, and the encouraging, and the counseling in my place? That would make my life much easier and I could still feel good about serving God. I have created a need for a pastor.

It’s like whenever a dictator takes over an empire or a nation. The people are willing to give up their freedom for security. There will always be someone there to provide that security (at least temporarily) in exchange for power over those people (permanently). The dude who wants to take the power is kind of a jerk, but the people willing to give up their own responsibility are kind of the jerks at the same time.

Add to this, the fact that this crap has been going on for thousands of years (just speaking within the context of Christianity) and now you have a system in place built on the laziness of the many and the power hunger of the few that has been so engrained that we don’t know any other way to function. I don’t think that most pastors today have a malicious desire for power. I also think that there are many congregants who truly desire to serve others and serve Christ. It’s just hard. It’s confusing. It’s all muddy and convoluted and many people don’t even know there is a problem. Many do, and they just can’t put their finger on it. The bottom line is that I think that this misunderstanding that the system is the Church is simply that, a misunderstanding, one that is deeply rooted and culturally important and difficult to let go of, but a misunderstanding none the less. blame the victim

Yesterday I wrote about how the church system is sort of everyone’s and no one’s fault at the same time. How, even though I have a lot of negative stuff to say about their role, I think that most pastors have good intentions and want to serve God and people. Also, and maybe most importantly, the congregation is just as much responsible for the pastor having too much power as the pastor himself is. The desire to pay someone else to do the hard work for us is the main reason that pastors are even allowed to have the opportunity to be in positions of power. You can largely blame that on our own laziness and apathy.

So no one and everyone is to blame. At the same time, everyone gets hurt by this; everyone is a victim so to speak. I write a lot about how messed up it is that pastors and church systems hurt the most vulnerable and needy people, the people that they should be helping. I write about the lack of discipleship and how the body isn’t able to minister to one another during gatherings because the pastor takes up all the spotlight. The congregation is seriously hurt by the pyramid leadership structure in the church system. It raises up the pastors and lowers the rest of the body, making them somehow second class and second rate. It makes the pastor the final say on what is true and false about what the congregation believes. It creates the danger of heresy and false teaching being believed. It gives the pastor power that can result in spiritual and emotional abuse of the people who come to him.

You know what else it does? It puts undue and insane amounts of pressure on the pastor. He is the leader. He is the one with the answers. He does the funerals and the weddings and keeps the books and has to justify the ministry work he does in light of his salary and benefits. Someone recently said that pastors have easy jobs. There was a great outcry in the comments of that post that stated that this was not even remotely true, that pastors’ jobs are very hard, and they get burnt out all the time. The things that the commenters were saying that pastors have to do were the things that all Christians should be doing: teaching, mentoring, disciplining, and counseling, and so on. There were a few other things that nobody should have to do, namely administrative work that is inherent in any system. The truth is that pastors would have a much easier time if it weren’t for the system in place. They do get burned out because they are trying in some twisted way to do everything that everyone should be doing for each other, and in so doing they really don’t serve anyone because nobody learns to serve one another.

So we see that congregations get hurt by the system and pastors get hurt by the system, but I’ve got to think that the party most hurt by the system would be Christ. His role is diminished, as there is a hierarchy of leadership, not the simple One Head structure that he designed. There is great hurt and offense committed in his name by the system, thus giving Him a bad reputation as a callous and rude bigot. His followers don’t grow the way he has designed for them to. So, pretty much the system completely contradicts everything the Church is supposed to be: a body that glorifies the leadership of Christ alone, helps one another grow in Christ by serving each other, and demonstrates the love of Christ to the world.

So again, I want to reiterate what I said yesterday, which is that this is not about hating pastors. This is about opposing a system that hurts all involved: the people, the pastors, and Christ.
And I say AMEN to this Dan, a real eye opener to me

Emotions have the word in it motions. Emotions have a Rhyme to it, with lotions. Is there a catch to it? What do emotions do? We have sad, mad, glad. Do our emotions control us? How we act and react?

I think all of us can concur on this that emotions play a large role in every one’s life to some degree or another. Are emotions and feelings one and the same? I know I do not like it whenever I get emotional as in angry, or hurt. For it is whenever I get angry, as I think everyone who is angry has the potential to hurt someone, whether they do or not, and I am sure many a time one regrets it when anger goes too far.  Kind of like the series The HULK. Have you ever seen it? He gets angry and his whole body blows up like a balloon. Incredibly strong, He has the potential as seen on TV to destroy and does do this but not to people, just things fortunately.

My point here is I know everyone has the potential to get mad over things gone awry from the way you, or I thought they should be. And this can happen in an instant. I know I have gotten angry in an instant, how about you? I myself did not understand this reaction happening so fast at first. I think mine came from not wanting to be controlled at an early age, fighting this always, never wanting to obey. I developed a rebellious attitude, yet I also learned to behave if I could get my way. I learned over time how to use my emotions to control others and how they acted to me. What about you all out there?

Emotions seem to be used all the time out in the world there today. Just look around, and notice how emotions are used by all of us whether good or bad and this is not the issue. Emotions itself are the issue, they are worldly, of the flesh used for manipulation(s) to get our way(s).

When you want something from someone else, what do you do to get it? Do you put on a show, thinking that when I do this then I will be rewarded with this or that? Does this go in in marriages? Yes all the time, we do to get and when we do not get we get mad, and throw fits. Do we use things we have done to get our way or win a fight? I know I have during high emotion times we all do. Do we? Only you can answer this to yourself and seek change if need be from God in your heart please, in order to get to the bottom of the anger problem and find the root cause and thus have God in you cast it out into the abyss. I think that when you, as I found, the root is the flesh and blood we were originally born with, and developed an anger attitude towards all things that we were treated badly with, along with never wanting to be controlled by another.

Every time I am told what to do, or even want to do what I am told to do, I find an anger issue that wants to fight against this. It matters not if it is right or wrong, my flesh and blood fight tooth and nail to have its way.

Now though since I agree to obey the law, I find I can’t for some reason, there seems to be an evil present with me that just wants its own selfish way. Is this my flesh that I was born with? I find that I can obey about half of the ten commandments, but just not all, and this is so frustrating, that so now today I gave up on trying and found I am doing, and that this is not me but God that lives in me, he has renewed my mind to view all things through him first before acting or reacting, and thus God’s love wins through every time. Now as I continue to grow in the grace of God, I have not been perfect in and of myself and never will be, but through God we all are perfect from God’s vantage point, the ones that believe that is. This is not easy to get one’s mind wrapped around this; I think we get warped at first. It’s warped speed we enter into trying to get our minds wrapped around this truth. For we want to understand everything before believing. Believing is not natural for the flesh and blood; as a matter of fact I think flesh and blood is not capable of belief, for belief like air is not tangible. So we are left with nothing else except to believe in air for it does sustain our lives here and now. Well as this is true with this world, thus God is also true and have you ever thought of God as the air? For when your breathe is gone, taken so are you taken out of this world.

Anyway back to emotion, we seem to want to keep it, in all its glory right? I think not, for it is the cause of all things gone awry, killing, hurting, maiming, war, and selfishness, evil that men do and find ways to justify these wrongs forever and forever. Then we add lotion on top of our emotion, covering it up, hiding from, eluding from being caught and acting as if we are just so good, hiding in our churches, acting out, when in reality hopefully we will face the truth about our original born self’s and die to this and come alive to God in the Spirit of truth, renouncing the Spirit of error that our flesh and all flesh is truly no good. As a matter of fact all Sin has been condemned to the flesh, and no flesh will ever please God in God’s sight. And God can only be worshipped in Spirit and truth. And now you all got truth, die to your emotions and then you will see reality and know God as God knows you.

Glory Hallelujah!!!! In the heavens, where the true tabernacle is at. And we are citizens there, yet put back here on earth to represent the joy, the peace, the righteousness in the Holy Spirit of truth. Notice there is no emotion in the joy, the peace and the righteousness. In love there is also no emotion as well, read it 1Cor 13

Love you all very much Homwardbound

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Ps 19:9-11 (KJV)

Reverent fear, for the Lord is: considering others before doing the deed(s). How and why would we do this? Would we do this because we do not want this done to us after thinking about it? Do we usually react badly before thinking about it?

Look at Sodom and Gomorrah, the people there just did whatever they wanted. There was no thought of hurting anyone, no care. Those in power just took and did whatever they wanted. It did not matter to them what they did to others. Does this matter to you?

Read the story about Lot and the angels that came to destroy these cities.

This destroying was over selfishness, being inconsiderate of others, taking any human they wanted to take and do with anyone the way they chose to. Do you think that anyone has the right to take away others free will except God? Better put, does God the creator have the right to take whatever God chooses to take?

Ex: If you broke into a home Bound the man of the house and took the furniture would that be stealing?

If God did this would that be stealing? Does God own all? Did God create all? Then is God in charge of all?

Matthew 12:22-32

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb, and Jesus healed him in so much as he spoke and saw

23, and all the people were amazed and said is not this the son of David? 24, but when the Pharisees heard it, they said. This fellow (Jesus) does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the Devils 25, and Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them;

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand 26, and if Satan cast out Satan he is divided against himself, how shall then his kingdom stand? 27, and if I (Jesus) by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your Judges. 28, But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you. 29, or else how can one enter into a strong mans house and spoil his goods except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house. 30, He that is not with me (Jesus) is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad. 31, wherefore I say unto you all manner of sin and Blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven unto men. 32, And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Note: this was said prior to the new covenant put in place at the death of Christ at the cross. Hebrews 9:15-17

So it was at the death, the new covenant took place and then Christ took the keys to heaven and Hell away from the Devil. Christ through the cross bound the strong man (the Devil) and spoiled all the devils goods. The resurrection is where this took place, and he took captivity captive, all prisoners that believed were set free from the Devils grasp that the Devil had at that time in history. Do you see this for you right now and forever? Heaven is now Brothers and Sisters. For Jesus preached to them and by faith, they believed they were freed to be with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit of all truth.

John 16:7-15 explains that when the Holy Ghost comes he will live in you and teach you all truth. The truth that sets you free. This is the one that if you choose not to believe then you will not be forgiven neither in this world or the one to come. This Holy Ghost is none other than God the creator of all. For this same Holy Ghost was in Jesus and guided Jesus. Has been today sent to you the believer so you to be guided into all truth. The truth is Jesus took all sin away in his Father’s sight in order for the Father to indwell you. Father cannot live in you unless Father sees you as sinless regardless of you sinning or not. This is how it is done Father Sees through his son first, then when you do come to belief he thus lives in you, seals you as complete in him. Now with fear of not appreciating this great salvation you work out the truth in you, and by you trusting that God Will show you truth, then you will see nothing else except that it is finished as he said in John 19:30 then gave up the Flesh. So you do the same as Paul has described in Romans 6, 7, and 8. Then see your resurrection in the Spirit of God made whole forever more.

What is this fear? Paying bills, a good enough job, whether or not you will have good health, so you pay through the nose and might use your coverage and might not? It is fear of the future that we are caught up in? Fears of an accident, auto, medical, dental, being sued and on and on we go, fearing this fearing that. This world is full of fear of some sort or other. And we all are trapped into this, thus we worry about all these things, thus we are angry, fearful, anxious, yet we keep trying and asking for help, sometimes getting it and other times not. So then we go off thinking that The Lord is mad at me and I deserve this type of treatment. Or I think I do not deserve this treatment at all for maybe you think you have been good enough. So if this world keeps your thoughts on this world. Then of this world you shall be. Always concerned who around the corner is going to get you. I have got to protect myself from my enemies, and I see all as enemies. And being focused on this world and its ways, you might make yourself a fortune of money. Howard Hughes did, Michael Jackson did, and Whitney Houston did. The question here is where they happy? Where they in control, or worried a lot? Did they really trust anyone? Do you think they were afraid of losing their money or somebody stealing from them? I will bet they believed and made mistakes just like you and I do, and God who is faithful has got them all in the palm of his hand and they today are forever safe with God.

My point is; no matter whom you are, put your faith in God to always take care of you, do not take advantage of this, appreciate this, but know this to be true God just love you.

Rely on this, until the day you leave here and go to him. Here on the earth God is always with you, we just do not always listen, so let’s start today and continue to learn to listen to God who lives in you. Let us start to trust and in prayer show trust as in thank you to God first for this wonderful salvation given to us through his Son Jesus Christ, where all our sins and lawless acts are behind his back never to see again. This is good news is it not?

So my prayer is always of this accord, Lord you know the situation I am in, and I know you said you will take care of me, so through trust I am making myself available for work, and will seek after it in faith. I do not know how you will do this, and I am not wasting any more energy on any worry of this. I am just going to trust you to teach me how to continue to trust you to see me through any situation I am in good or bad.

This is the way I found out how to escape this world of stinking thinking, via trusting God and God has taken care of all my needs, through me working, obeying the laws of the land, doing justly, loving MERCY GOD’s, and walking humbly with God shed abroad in my heart. So you all do the same, for God just love you too.

Now understand perfect love casts out all fear, God is perfect love. So since you believe you have no fear for you are one with God through belief from the Holy Ghost. Seek you the kingdom of heaven above all things and ALL your needs shall be supplied. Tell all your worries to go for God has now got them, you have casted all your cares upon God. You have now taken God-quill so you can rest medicine. This beats NY-quill and any worldly medicine in this world.

"Copy the child-spirit. Not only for its simple trust but for its joy for life."

Do you hear this, but for the joy. Have we lost the joy? Remember this, we can’t escape growing older, but we still have the free choice to be childlike, for is that not where joy was and really is? Of course this is not always true for there are a lot of us that had a terrible upbringing. So I understand if one does not want to do this if they had a horrible upbringing. So I say look at the areas of your life that it was well with you away from those awful people that harmed you. Use that as what is being said here about the simple trust. For this simple trust is truly in God and God only. You can get fooled and think even me from this site is trustworthy and I say do not go there. I say sift all things through your heart, trusting no one except God in your heart and you will know who is trustworthy and who is faking trustworthiness, God reveals truth to all that trust God, including those that do not trust him, in order to show whoever God is the only one  good and trustworthy. Even Jesus said this to a person that called him good master. Jesus said why do you call me good for only God is good. Matthew 19:16, 17 trustworthy and good are one in the same meaning.

So why are we going around trying to look good? Are we fooling ourselves and playing God through trying to look good to others? Are we good or not? Do we go to God and say did you see that, how good am I? Do you really think God the creator of all is going to react like us humans spurring each other on? Do you think when you sin God is going to punish you?

People this is what people do to each other, we reward for what we believe to be good behavior and punish for what we think to be bad behavior.

Tell me is this God the Father of Jesus? Is this Jesus the one that walked this earth?

When Jesus went to the cross, how many sins did he take upon himself? He took all according to John 1:29

Now read with the Spirit of God in you 1Cor 15 whole chapter, and I am pointing out to you 1 Cor 15: 56-58

in light of that all sins are taken out of the way whether you sin or not. Sin itself is no longer the issue, today it is whether you believe or you do not believe period. Those that believe will listen to their hearts where God through the Holy Spirit of truth lives and lead you in the same Love that he led His Son. In the Spirit you do not sin

1John 3:3 and every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

Do you see this even as he is pure, for we through belief are already pure, so walk this way and quit like men trying to attain what you have by faith already attained.

Now read on through chapter 3:1 through chapter 4 especially focus on chapter 4 verse 4-6. There is a Spirit of truth and one of error.

So with keeping the child like Spirit you shall know the Spirit of truth over the spirit of error

Love you all,  Homwardbound

Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)

Question what is the Father’s will? Is it to be squeaky clean? Are you required to be perfect? Are mistakes allowed? If we make mistakes are we to be punished for them as we have been? Is any punishment from God?
Father’s will; I believe to all is LOVE all as you are loved. What does this mean? If my neighbor does not love me, uses me despitefully, I am not to love him/her?

I wonder how many of us feel this way, or interpret love as you are loved we only love those that love us?

I think that this is natural to love those that love us. Is this not true with you, that it is easy to love those that love you back, or that love you first? Either way we do show love to those that love us back, do we not?

Also do we not tend to hate those that do not love us back? I mean you know you showed them love, and you got no appreciation back. I know how this used to make me feel and would talk trash about them to myself, to God and to others. Do you concur has this ever been you and could be you again and again over and over?

So we fight, argue, my way or the Highway, my Church, not your church. My group, my way is right, I do not agree, and so on and so forth.

What is all this garbage between us, not loving any but our own group, our own denomination, being holier than the others, loving power? Please look hard seek God the creator of this universe, look at the walk of Jesus Christ that healed many a sick, brought back to life the dead from the grave.

This man has done more than any denomination, non-denomination, any church, any gathering of people of anyone anywhere.

And to watch us as people separate ourselves from each other, forming different groups, fighting between each other over what another believes and then trying to shove it down the others throat or kill them via we are at war.

Tell me how can I being this way or you if you also are this way ever expect God to accept you in his kingdom of love? Can I say well because Christ died for all my sins and I did this in Christ’s name and that?

You know if I or you just love those that love me or you, how can we say that we are of God? God is love right? Now if God just loved those that loved God, how can God claim that he is love? If God never gave free choice, what would that make you and I?

That is right a Robot. Do you want free choice taken from you?  Do you wish to be a robot? Are we not Robots in and of this world and its ways? Can’t you read the signs, signs here do this don’t do that can’t you read the signs? Is this not happening in our assemblies that are called churches? We must behave, be nice because you might offend, love your neighbor as yourself. So what do we do? That is right we lie to our neighbor to protect them.

How does this protect you, being lied to? What a trickery from the devil, the evil powers of the air that inject you with little white lies, me too you all. Santa Clause is one, tooth fairy another. No wonder when people find out about these lies it is hard for them to believe in Christ. Yet they learn ways to use Christ as a means to get support, acting as if they are believers, and even steal from you the na├»ve person who believes in, and hopes for loving their neighbor as themselves. Leaving a bad taste in one’s mouth, not wanting to help others, being in fear that they will despitefully use you also.

I am saying if God says to you go away you who work iniquity, I (God) never knew you. You who have taken for granted me God, who took away all sin through my Son (Jesus Christ) so you can live a life of truth and honesty, even though you preached My son, and cast out demons in my Holy name, you did it all for self-gain and so you brought this on self, your demise.

Tell me if any of you were this God the creator of the universe is this judgment righteous?

So you agree God is righteous and will give everyone their just reward whether good or bad? So all things done good or bad is not the issue right? The issue is whether you respond and do this wonderful salvation of love to all peoples whether they are good and or bad in your opinion, for God does not only love you, but all people and is giving all the chance to change their minds through one’s free choice.

So when you see this love that is unconditional then how will you respond? Will you become all church going and think you do not stink as you might think others do, especially the ones that do not believe as you? Which this attitude makes one stink, being a betty better than you is not representing the almighty God at all. Humble yourself unto the purity of God and serve as Christ showed us in his walk here on earth where he did nothing nor said anything but truth from His Father which lived in him via the Holy Ghost. Who was sent on the day of Pentecost, and it cost the disciples their lives. And when you belief it shall by your free choice as was theirs as well your flesh life, unto the new Spiritual one of LOVE! And therefore you won’t be told to go away you who work iniquity, because you do not, you instead decided to give up your life for his life no matter what takes place.

Growing up in a building, known as church, Methodist in my case, I was taught prayer, and when I pray my head down, eyes closed, hands together in front of me, and thus say my prayers. The prayers from what I remember while growing up where pray for Sister, Brother, friends and others you did not know. They all always needed physical things, a Job, turn the divorce around, others in hospital, needed healing, and keep that one from dying.

Now all these wants, through prayer are supposed to be answered. After all we are told scripture states ask anything and you shall receive it, but ask in faith?

Matthew 7:7

Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you

Matthew 7:8 For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be open. Bottom line: ask receive truth, seek find truth, knock and truth is opened to you.

Psalms 2:8 ask of me and I shall give thee

John 14:13

And whatsoever you shall ask in my name (Jesus Christ) that will I do that my Father may be glorified in the Son

There is a lot of other scripture pertaining to these verses written above. They are Mark 11:24, Luke 11:9, John 15:16, 16:23, 24 James 1:5-7, 1 John 3:22, and John 13:31.

All of this is about prayer, and asking, and we will receive, just ask in faith and in the name of Christ.

Today we have pray this way or that, and if you do not get what you pray for then:

1.   You probably have not confessed the sin in your life. Has anyone here heard this? How can this be true, maybe God is testing me on my memory? Where does the bible say that I (God) will not bless you if you have sin in your life? And who here today does not have sin in their life? Before and after belief, and probably more so after belief, for you are aware of all your failures, and thus end up usually sinning all the more, trying hard not to.

Who here is perfect on their own? I conclude that this is not true even though I have sin in my life, even though I have been taught to try to be as perfect as possible. For God has blessed all people, just not all see this. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

2.   God only love those that love him. Another reason for you not getting what you ask for. God loves all; all includes everyone, no prejudices.

3.   You did not ask in faith, you had doubts, then you get pointed to Scriptures that say without a doubt and you thus try to have no doubt, and therefore you have even further doubt. Romans 6, 7, and 8 come to mind, every time I wish to do good I do evil instead, I want to do good, but I find evil present with me, taking occasion through the commandment, and therefore I sin, get angry, lust, and so on and so forth. And therefore I think how God can love me a failure or I do not get what I ask for because I have sinned, or keep on sinning. This is another lie to keep you working for favor with God or your mentor. Never seeing truth that sets you free.

4.   All of these reasons are all used falsely against you, whether the person (s) are doing this or not on purpose, it is in your understanding, receiving interpretations and seeing them as true or not for God that lives in you will show you truth.

5.   Look God does just love you, and please understand this, if you ask for a piece of candy, and receive this candy, call it M and M’s, you like and want more. God says no to you, truly your prayer is answered, you just do not like the answer, and so you go out and find a way to get what you want regardless of what God has answered. You do not see the NO answer as for your best interest, all I saw was my desire to have these things I wanted, and got them in spite of God’s warning to me, as in the No answer. I did not hang around long enough to hear why. If I had trusted and listened to the reason, with patience, I could have avoided being sick many a times. So let’s hear the answer(s) and trust, then ask why, hang around to hear and see then you will avoid getting sick.

So far prayer is asking and either receiving or not. Then deciding whether the answer is good for us or not. So either we trust God in all answers and move on or we do not; and seek for ourselves what we think we should have and get sick. We do learn truth regardless, truth is shown to us. It is up to us free choice, keep getting sick, or be healed in the Spirit of one’s mind through listening and trust in the Father of Christ with the answer and do accordingly.

What about prayer just being an attitude of the heart? 1 Thess 5:17 pray without ceasing

Since we are to pray without ceasing, then prayer cannot be a position. If it were a position, knelt down on knees, head bowed down, hands put together, facing east, and we are to always be praying, how would any work ever be done?

So prayer is an attitude of heart, thanking God in all things, counting things when they go awry as a blessing to you, for God has and knows what is best for you. God will never give his child, you a snake over a piece of bread.

So today you all start trusting in your own hearts that God does love you, wants what is best for you, quit being like men and trusting only men that you see, and start trusting God whom you do not see, you trust the air you breath do you not? So trust God as if the air. So let’s pray with an attitude that God just love me, and I will learn from all tragedies in life here on earth, knowing thus when to turn right or left. I can now through constant prayer here him in my heart and do as he asks; knowing this is what I really want, and what I have really asked for is the Father’s guidance and me to be a doer in his kingdom as an ambassador placed back here in this world representing the Joy, peace and righteousness in the Holy Spirit of truth.

Another post from

Men who hesitate to submit their thought process and conclusions to fair public examination must have some good reason not to.  Preachers who preach only to the choir will never know whether what they preach has enough substance to it to stand the heat of public examination.  Men who would deny freedom of speech to any others must have deep roots of doubt about the truth of their own convictions or their own ability to present it and defend it publicly.

Yes, brethren.  Free speech is the foundation of our religious freedom.

Men who would assume positions and titles abound in every sort of religious institution.  There are many men who would receive acclaim without service.  There are many men who become intoxicated with the lust for power.  There are many men who would gladly earn a living pontificating on religious matters.

The picture of a drill sergeant barking orders to a marching platoon is nowhere to be found in Scripture, but IS found in the church organizations of men.  Many “church leaders” of various institutions have thought that this is the kind of authority that they are to possess in order for them to “rule” over God’s people.  Their teachers, their seminaries, along with their carnal hearts told them to rule this way.  This has caused untold hardship to many individuals and families in many institutional churches.  The need to "keep people in line" by force or coercion is not a Scriptural principle, but IS seen all too often in an institutional/corporate church system.

Can we see why Jesus said that those in His kingdom are expected to reject titles and positions of ruler ship; even the title or position of guides?

You didn’t know He said that?  Please read on to see that He most certainly did; in the clearest of terms as well!

Jesus took a group of social nobodies and endued them with the gospel message. They were a scruffy group to say the least. There was obviously a great contrast with the pomp and "holy" demeanor of the Scribes and Pharisees.  Human nature, being what it is, seduced even the disciples with a desire to be greatest in the Kingdom.

Jesus, while continually challenging the narrow-mindedness and self-righteousness of the Jewish leaders, insisted that things were going to be different in his community.  When His disciples came to Him and asked who would be greatest in the Kingdom, Jesus answered:

"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you turn and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."(Matthew 18:3-4).

"Just a minute," He said. "You guys need to change your standards of operation. You are looking at things the wrong way.  You need to change your attitude or you will not enter the kingdom at all."

Does this sound like the apostles were going to receive even a hint of position, title, and institutional ruler ship?  If you're still not sure, then let’s proceed further.

In Matthew 20:20-28, Jesus was worked over by the mother of James and John wanting, what else, for her sons to be greatest in the kingdom.

"Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on your right hand and the other on the left, in your kingdom."   verse 21)

Of course, the other disciples made a great show of indignation as though they had not wanted the same honor for themselves.  So Jesus expounded on what His impending community structure is going to be like.  The leadership in His assembly or community would be unlike worldly authority and the ecclesiastical system of things represented at that time by Jewish Scribes and Pharisees, the Jewish Sanhedrin (elders), and Roman secular rule.

Jesus rejected the authoritarian structure of his own religious heritage as well as anything that would approach the empires and kingdoms of men.  Jesus explains this plainly as he continues.

"You know that the rulers of the Gentiles are lords over them, and those who are great exercise authority (or are tyrants) over them. YET IT WILL NOT BE SO AMONG YOU; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you let him be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."

"Greatness is attained through service, NOT positions or titles.  You want to attain greatness in my kingdom then serve. Those desiring esteem in my assembly must set the example in serving!  You will not exercise authority over my people!"

How utterly ironic that this is exactly the type of leadership style Christ specifically warned His disciples not to practice!

If that left the disciples in doubt about what positions they were to enjoy in the Lord’s community, He certainly cleared it up by attacking the prevailing system of the religious leaders and their love of titles and position in Matthew 23.

"Then Jesus spoke to the multitude and to his disciples, saying: The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do to be seen by men. ..They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

But you, do not be called Rabbi, for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for one is your Father, who is in heaven. And do not be called leaders; for one is your leader, even the Christ. But those who are great among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”  Matthew 23:1-12

Jesus, in these few sentences, is making it very plain what the nature of leadership in His community was going to be. His leaders would NOT assume titles or positions. "But you do not be called Rabbi"! They were not to assume the title or position of Rabbi (master, teacher).

As if this was not basic enough to persuade them, He continues in this vein by saying, "And do not be called leaders." Even though the KJV translates the word "leader" master, the correct translation could actually render the Greek "guide". Vine gives it this definition:

"KathHgHtHs is properly a guide, to go before, to guide, translated master, a teacher, Matt. 23:10 (twice)."

Jesus emphasizes this very point while instructing those who would later be called apostles.  "Don't even let someone ascribe to you or 'ordain' you with the position or title of leader or guide".

Don't be called Dr. Smith.

Don't be called Preacher Smith.

Don't be called Pastor Smith.

Don't be called Minister or Reverend or Elder or Deacon Smith.

Is this not a true application of what Jesus was saying?  If not, why not?

There is no one better than the other. No one above another. Even though Christ has been exalted he still considers you a friend, and treats you that way. So come to belief in Christ, and thus walk in his Father’s love. Be covered and smothered by The Father of all, knowing the Son, who caused you to be one in him, via yuor belief in him.

Won’t Get Fooled Again,

This is a post by another brother in Christ at

I think this is  thought provoking, what do you think?

Once upon a time, God used a donkey. How foolish! Not today. Today, God has other means of transportation available to him. He uses nice cars – Cadillac’s, BMWs, Mercedes, even limos. God even uses jet planes. Why would God want to use something as foolish as a donkey when he has planes available to him?

Once upon a time, God used pagan prophets and philosophers. How foolish! Not today. Nothing good can come from culture. Today, God wants his people to read Christian books, watch Christian movies, and listen to Christian music. If God has something to say, he would never be so foolish as to speak through a pagan.

Once upon a time, God ate with prostitutes, drunks, thieves, and other malcontents. How foolish! Not today. God has enough good people now that he doesn’t need to hang out with that sort anymore. It would be foolish for God to be found among the dregs of society today.

Once upon a time, God gathered people in fields, and on a mountain, and in a valley, and in homes, and in a school. How foolish! Not today. If people want to meet with God today, they can come to his house – a church building. Wouldn’t it be foolish for people to think that God would come to them when he has beautiful buildings now?

Once upon a time, God spoke through untrained people. How foolish! Not today. There are plenty of college- and university- and seminary-trained people for God to speak through today. He doesn’t need to speak through the unlearned. What if they said something wrong? How foolish to think that God would still speak through uneducated people today.

Once upon a time, God called the foolish, weak, and unknown – the nobodies – of society. How foolish! Not today. Now God calls the smart, the powerful, and the celebrities to speak on the lecture circuit, write books, and hold conferences. How foolish to think that we could make it without our Christian celebrities!

Once upon a time, God asked people to drop everything and follow him. How foolish! Not today. God realizes that today we need a steady job with a good salary, a home, two cars, health and life insurance, a good dental plan, excellent schools, vacation, and a retirement plan. Do you foolishly think that God would ask us to follow him without these necessities?

Once upon a time, God expected his people to encourage one another when they met together. How foolish! Not today. Now God has provided us with professionals to handle all the dirty work, to study, to teach, to sing, to deal with problems. How foolish to think that God would expect us to do these things today.

Once upon a time, God wanted his people to trust him completely without relying on their own ability to understand. How foolish! Not today. God knows that people today need to think logically about things, to make reasonable decisions. God knows that we need all the details of his plans, especially the outcome. Do you foolishly think that God still expects us to trust him completely?

Once upon a time, God created and enforced covenants. How foolish! Not today. God now expects us to write our own covenants and to hold people accountable to them. If we don’t hold people accountable, then who will? How foolish it would be to think that God is still capable of taking care of his covenants and his children.

Yes, once upon a time, God used a donkey. But we can all see how foolish that would be now. We won’t get fooled again.

This caused me to think how foolish I can be, getting caught up in societal things, thinking I am something when truly I am nothing, yet from God’s vantage point I am everything and so are all of you. Homwardbound

Proverbs 17:22

A merry heart does good like a medicine; but a broken Spirit dries up the bones

Do you know why you should smile at least every half hour on the hour?

If you go longer you might crack your face!

Encyclopedias for sale:

I do not need them, spouse knows everything.

Go to an office and see the out to lunch sign, if not back by 4 o clock, out to dinner also

Laughing yet, I think it important to laugh from the heart, it makes the heart merry. A merry heart pumps medicine to the soul, and your body heals from this.

To prove this, just keep on with worry, stress, anger, uncertainty, and your spirit dries up your bones and sickness ensues.

I have found that being upset, feared, unsure, doubtful, all being thoughts, are very controlling down to one’s soul (psyche). When in thought of stress, worry it takes away from one’s life

Matthew 6:27

Which of you by taking thought can add one moment to his life?

So if your thoughts are of worry and stress, do you think that these types of thought will instead of add to your life, will take away from your life?

Only you can answer this, from your experiences so far. Take a good look at all the times you were worried, stressed out thinking about future, nervous, and mad angered from what you thought could happen and a lot of times did not happen as you thought it would?

Now I now if you did not worry, you might have not made it through. Do you really think this, supporting stress, worry? Remember all the times you chose not to worry and trust the living God to see you through, and you made it so far right?

So do you think that it is easier to trust and get through than to be worried constantly as if you can change a single moment in your life?

Spend a lot of time laughing enjoying life as you work, make a living. Act your wage and not your IQ. Get settled in where you need to spend and enjoy your discretionary money. Use that as you hear from God in you. Please refrain from not trusting God in you that will teach you all truth to be free within your financial means. Laugh knowing that somehow you will make it through your next adversity for Christ being in you, via the Holy Spirit has (past tense) overcome the world. Since you are in him and he in you, that means you have overcome the world as well, for you are as him perfect from Father’s point of view. Read from Matthew 6:24 through verse 34 God does take care of those that believe in God. Jesus was very clear on this subject of take no thought. For it was thought that took Adam and Eve down. Christ is the second Adam, and Christ took no thought and thus was led by his Father the whole time here on earth.

Redeeming all that will come to belief in him, thus giving new life to you, where your merry heart from this truth will continuously feast, in the midst of evil all around you in this world. This merry heart from being born again, will keep you in Holy laughter that will keep you healed here and now. If you are already sick, the merry heart will turn the sickness around and you will start on the healing, for a merry heart is medicine to the bones, through the renewed Spirit in you from God through your belief

[The natural life] knows that if the spiritual life gets hold of it, all its self-centeredness and self-will are going to be killed and it is ready to fight tooth and nail to avoid that.

The above is a C.S. Lewis quote

I wonder how this natural life is going to accomplish this.

Can I fool myself and or be fooled by others with their natural (FLESH AND BLOOD) life? What is the difference between my natural life that I was born with and the Spiritual life that I am hearing about?

I read in John 3: 1-8 this is where we are made known of what being born again is. And we have lots of interpretations of what this means.
So read it yourself and ask God the almighty, the creator of all good the meaning of this? For throughout the scripture there is talk of flesh and blood, verses The Spirit. After the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, is where we can understand this clearer than before. Looking back at the cross is to me the dividing line of Human history. Even the world has put the calendar in this fashion, before Christ and after Christ. Even though they now call it before Common Era and after Common Era. I do not care which way it is sliced, diced or cubed; the fact still remains the same. The calendar is divided before Christ came and after Christ died. Everyone knows that there is something that created this entire universe. Do you think it was just a big bang, and thus here we all are fighting one another over the battle for control? Trying to be right over everyone else and if you do not see things my way take a hike.

Or truly is this the flesh itself that we all were born with here on earth. Could it be we all from the womb are born with evil in us and do not want to die to having things our way, the way we think things should be and then all will be utopia from then on?

Is it not in each of our experiences that we have all had bad things happen to us, and done bad things to others as well? So we come to the point that we can only trust ourselves? We have put our trust in others and have been fooled, been taken advantage of or even taken advantage of others justifying this by our needs for survival. Do we still give in order to get? And if we do not get, what do we expect from being nice, and we get upset when we expect a better deal than we had gotten, at least. Then whatever we did we do it out of compassion for the other or for later on to use what you did as a means for further deals. Have you done this? Has this been done to you? It sure can destroy things in a heartbeat. Yet I know that there are things to learn from all scenarios. It is kind of like having buyer’s remorse. All things are good upfront until you get surprised over later cost of product that has been sold.

So how do we learn to continue to love our neighbor as yourself, when your neighbor expects things to be a certain way? When it does not come out the way expected, I know and understand getting upset. For somehow there was lack of communication.

That is what it is; not communicating well; and think you have. That is where our natural self gets in the way, when not on the same page, thinking you were, and then there it goes awry, out of balance; things did not turn out how you planned. So think on this wise, hear the bell and go to your corner, let things calm, stop and think. What really is the best thing to do, and keep things from being awry? Pray about it for one, fill the expectation as best you can, compromise, see it through and communicate for the future so this would not happen again. Called let us start to learn from mistakes, nothing really is worth getting mad over. Getting mad is a waste of one’s energy. Getting jealous, envious, proud, boastful, keeping a list of wrongs on self and or everyone else. This is not a claim for any of us to stop this and do that. I am just reviewing facts of actions and reactions to things that are not the way we think they should be, at any given moment.

I do realize that all the things that we get mad over, or jealous or envious truly is a waste of energy, and do understand we need to get past these wastes of our own energy.

One thing for sure is all these reactions are of one’s flesh and blood period. For I really wonder if Adam and Eve were aware of emotions. I do not think they were emotional prior to being deceived to eat of that tree of evil, represented as Good to eat from. And there is a lot of people masquerading as good, in order to get something they might want in the future. You know flesh is no good, at least what I have experienced from others as well as from myself.

I think now I understand why God wants us to be born again, dead to the flesh and alive to God on a constant basis. Then maybe we can experience the love Chapter of God in 1Corinthians 13.

I know in and of my flesh when I read love is never proud, I am convicted of my flesh, then the same with the rest of what love really is.

But when one dies to their flesh practices being dead to it, then after a while they are; in the Spirit of their mind. Then they are not proud, boastful, envious, and keeps no records of wrongs committed. This is walking by the Spirit and it takes time and practice in growing in grace.

Galatians 5 is a good look at what walking by flesh produces and walking by Spirit of God produces. How do you want to walk?

I also know this that walking by the Spirit of God cannot be accomplished through trying to obey laws, commandments or traditions. If there was a way through laws and traditions, then there never would have been a need for Christ to bring in a new covenant. So, from Father’s stand point we are not judged on the basis of sin and death in the present. We are judged on belief in the savior. That is all that is left Belief or unbelief. When one does believe that one’s actions and reactions improve to the love of God that one learns from mistakes, apologies to the one’s that they have hurt. Shows compassion in all things still from time to time walks in the old flesh and blood, learning when they are and thus mortifies the deeds of the body through free choice agreement. Saying to God yes you are right I could have only ate one or two pieces of candy and been well. Next time I will listen and not eat 29 Reese’s peanut butter cups and get sick. So Father I think I will go to you and thank you first of all for forgiving me of any and all things I could ever do to hurt myself and neighbors.

I start today to seek your wisdom in reactions to things I do not like. Learn from my mistakes, grow in your already forgiven (past tense plan), learning to say no to wasting my energy on anger, jealousy, proudness, boastfulness, any anything else that sets itself up for walking back in the flesh. What you did Father is made me dead to flesh and recreated me in the spirit of you, to walk as you perfect and forever Holy in your Spirit. Thank you, Thank You and again thank you. And I hear you saying all things work together for the good of those that are called and you have called all, just not all have yet received. The only way I see now is the love that sustains through all wrongs. For by this love from you I have been taught to say no to unrighteousness. I love you Father, and Thank you Jesus for your obedience to bring us all such a great Salvation through you taking away all sin at the cross. John in John 1:29 being the witness to this unfathomable fact. For it truly is by faith that one is saved period, not by works for works cannot produce faith, but true faith does produce true works.  Homwardbound I am
