Focus

Focus on what is good, perfect and correct, and as Jesus said only God his Father is good

Matthew 19:17

So He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Note: the above was before the cross and the glorified state of the Spirit of Christ at the resurrection, raised back to life by Father. Now Christ always pointed to Father and showed us how to depend on Father who was going to live in us (via Holy Spirit), same Holy Spirit that lived in him to guide us in his Love to all, and thus all is fulfilled in us by God's love through us that believe after the resurrection. No need for anything else except our Savior in the fore front with the praise and worship band leading

There is a before the cross and after the cross

Before we had to love to be loved,

Forgive to get forgiven

Do all that is right and be perfect if we want to enter heaven, this includes gouge out the eyes, or and cut off the hand if any part of the body caused one to sin under Law they would have to cut off or gouge out

Better for part of one to go to Heaven than all of one go to hell

Mark 9:43

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—

Mark 9:45

And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—

That was before the cross under law, under the curse:

After the cross,

We love because God first loved us; this is a response to the Love of God

1 John 4:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.  19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Obedience by Faith

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

WE forgive because God through Christ  God has forgiven us, another response to God

Before the cross all stressed out after the cross relieved in thankfulness and praises and worship in appreciation

Mix the two, and one stays in stress and continues to sin, for the flesh nature is still alive in that one and by the flesh nature is where one sins whether they want to or not.

Galatians 3:3

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 6:8

New King James Version (NKJV)

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

/

God just love period shown to us by Christ, and thus change takes place from stress to rest, and trusting God in what God did for us by God's Mercy through the cross, go ahead and mix the two or believe in the one without the other.

But God wants :

Hosea 6:6

For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Matthew 9:13

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance

Matthew 12:7

But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Love you by God's love from God to you, Mercy I have received, so Mercy shall I give

Matthew 18:22-35

New King James Version (NKJV)

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.  23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.  24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.  25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made.  26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’  27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’  29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’  30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.  31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done.  32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.  33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’  34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Ephesians 3:14-21

New King James Version (NKJV)

Appreciation of the Mystery

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,  17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—  19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
