Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are a many sects out there in the name of and are self flesh worshipers not seeing it, this I have to be careful in, because my own flesh that I consider dead daily, gets in the way scheming, planning, wanting to be noticed, appreciated, liked and on and on. Remembering it is not about me, seeing Eph. 1:6, where it states we are "accepted" in the beloved. Then hearing this, since you are accepted by me (God) through my Son as perfect even though you are not from your view, my view (GOD"S) you are accepted as perfect, will you being accepted to me (God) as I (God) see you through my Son, (Jesus) and walk in Faith to this, not being proud over it, rather in humility? So from God's view, God sees you, me and all as cleansed through Son Col. 1:22, yet, not many I think realize the depth here, say they do skim over the depth, and still go out and work at it, to be perfect as he is perfect, deceiving themselves by their own self will to want to be right in front of Father as well as others, an d just can't complete it. Have gotten trapped in sowing to the flesh and do not see this is what and where the trap is at from the enemy for as a man soweth so shall he reap, and if I try to do what is right, I find me not doing it right. As Paul said in Romans 7 so clear, yet man flesh wants to stand back up and get more forgiveness when there is no more forgiveness to be given from Father through Christ it is done. We are reconciled, so why not then be reconciled back in praises and thanksgiving. knowing through Christ all curses have been broken , and walk as God has called us to by trust in God to love this deep to have made us right to God through Son, it is done, or is that just too hard to Fathom? Pray for me to not walk by flesh? And I pray for us all to come to unity in seeing the battle is between flesh and God. The flesh all is at war with the risen Spirit of God. Praying to see the difference in its deception that has taken over and masquerades as good, when to this very day only Father is good

Any ways ask, believe God to show you truth in the difference and God will if God decides to show you, and will if you are motiveless to selfishness or wanting to be?
All I can see to work hard to enter God’s rest God ahs for you through Son

final authority God or the Bbile?

“The Final Authority”
The Bible or God

This came from another believer name Debbie, and deep thought in truth is involved
The view from this angle is at least worth looking at.
When men say “The Bible is the Final Authority”, what they MEAN by that statement is that THEIR understanding and interpretation of the Bible is “the final authority”. We KNOW that is so, because even if we pick just one “translation” of the bible, many different denominations which all use the same version are often in disagreement about the exact same words found in the single book on almost every topic imaginable.
Someone can take a passage, a verse, even a single word from the bible and if there are two or more people discussing it, they can each understand it to mean entirely different things.
Every single time I hear someone say something has to “line up with scripture”, I almost puke. Since there are so many demonizations, so many different paradigms and understandings of “what the bible says”, then when someone says something “doesn’t line up with scripture”, what they REALLY means is that the other person’s interpretation of the scriptures doesn’t match theirs, and so the other person’s viewpoint is automatically wrong. Or if someone’s viewpoint doesn’t match up with the corporately held position by the majority, then it is the majority who are considered to be holding not just the most popular viewpoint, but the only true viewpoint. The fact of the matter is that the majority opinion is seldom the right one, when it comes to God…Jesus…Holy Spirit….church….bible (etc, etc, etc.)
I am going to take the very verse that Bible Thumpers use as a foundation for their “Sola Scriptura” position and prove it.
II Timothy 2:15 says (in that “authorized” King James Version):
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Now scriptural literalists will tell you that this verse is “plain and clear”, and to the casual reader, or the one who takes all scripture at only face value, it IS clear, it IS plain, it IS simple. But it is still incomplete at best, and just a false paradigm at worst.
The context is talking about the “word of truth”, so on the surface level, we know we are talking about something called “the word”. It distinctly says to “study”, and that by “study”, you will be able to show yourself approved unto God, you are “rightly dividing” what is called “the word of truth” if you do this, so then you won’t be ashamed. Does it get any simpler? Nope. But the very verse here designed to speak to the masses as Jesus did (in mysteries, truth cloaked and hidden from them which He only shared with His disciples) hides a DEEP mystery that actually mocks “studying” a book in order to get God’s stamp of approval and not be ashamed.
When one gets past the point of just reading that scripture, and ASSuming that the word “study” means to read and meditate and learn stuff from a book….and ASSuming that the “word of truth” mentioned here automatically means “the bible”, you have to take away an almost completely different paradigm than the simplistic one you began with. Why?
Because when you dig into the words of that scripture, into the original Greek, the word “study” in the original language is “spoudazo” (Strong’s G4704) meaning: to use speed, i.e. to make effort, be prompt or earnest:--do (give) diligence, be diligent (forward), endeavour, labour, study.
That word is also used 10 more times; each time it is rendered in the proper context of “being diligent”, “endeavoring”, “laboring”, etc. In no wise is the “usual and normal” usage of the word to be that of sitting down, reading, analyzing and coming to a mental conclusion through carnal logic, etc.
So if we expound on it by saying that we should be endeavoring, diligently, earnestly to show ourselves “approved unto God”, that makes it more related to our daily behavior as a whole (be the church daily, outwardly, to all you come into contact with) and not a simplistic daily or weekly practice or ritual (devotionals and bible studies and Sunday School classes).
Furthermore, Jesus BERATED the scribes and Pharisees for their “much studying” of the scriptures, analyzing, opining, pontificating, and scrutinizing of “their scriptures”. When Jesus, who IS “The Word of Truth” in the very flesh, was standing before them, they were BLINDED to Him BECAUSE of their “much study” and their own man-made interpretations and doctrines gained from reading the scriptures with a literal mindset devoid of the Holy Spirit.
Now let’s throw out our other “ASSumption” that the phrase “the word of truth” means and is synonymous with “the bible”.
(Go and get your inhalers and stop gasping for air, I promise no one is going to hell for being a Berean here….)
By ASSuming that this phrase “word of truth” means “the bible” we would have to logically ask ourselves some questions to decide how we arrived at that conclusion/assumption.
We arrive at it the same we do most of the doctrines we are spoon-fed. Someone told us, or brought us up in that paradigm, and so we just take for granted that it couldn’t mean anything else, because “the bible” and “studying” go hand in hand, and the scripture makes perfect, literal sense at face value.
But when these words were first penned (allegedly by Paul the apostle), the only collection of “scripture” was the OLD Testament (the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, or the Tanach). Let me say this slowly for those of you having a hard time following this.
When this letter, written by Paul, to Timothy, was first penned, THERE WAS NO NEW TESTAMENT, THERE WAS NO “CHRISTIAN BIBLE”.
The “word of truth” spoken of here could NOT be referencing a King James Bible…indeed, nor any of the so-called “canon of scripture”, because the first “authorized, canonized” books making up what we call “the bible” HAD NOT EVEN BEEN PUT TOGETHER YET!!!!! It would be like watching a revolutionary war movie, and seeing George Washington pick up a telephone to call Paul Revere to give him the go for “the British are coming”, and Paul sets out in a Mustang car to deliver the message. Can you not see this??
Do you hear what I’m saying? It’s impossible for the phrase “the word of truth” to be referring to what we today call “the bible”, so “bible study” cannot be synonymous with “rightly dividing the word of truth” or “reading and studying” a book to show ourselves approved before God!! And if you will be honest with yourselves, if just doing bible studies was the standard for being approved, then only those with education enough to read and “study”, or those lucky enough to have bibles, would be the only ones stamped with a seal of approval. Can we seriously stand on this brick of false doctrine and remain there without it crumbling? No.
Now….if the phrase “word of truth” means what is spoken/revealed/inspired/illuminated to us by the Holy Spirit, it makes perfect sense, combined with the word “spoudazo”. And rightly dividing (interpreting, understanding, discerning, etc), that LIVING “word” spoken to us is extremely important. Jesus never once told his disciples to hold bible studies and church services to get the word out, and to teach others by that way. Don’t you think that if “going to church” and “studying the bible” were THAT important, that Jesus himself would have mentioned that???? We are told to “follow Him”, and Jesus was totally and completely at all times led by what He saw/heard the Father doing. HIS only background in scripture was the….say it with me….”Old Testament”. If you truly believe “what is written”, then you must go back to ALL the scriptures which repeatedly tell us that it is the Holy Spirit who will lead and guide us into all truth, who will reveal things to us, who will comfort us and lead us in every step. There is not a verse anywhere that says that understanding a book will do that.
Bibli=olators (those who idolize a book more than the writer of it) tell us that ALLLLLLLLL the answers we will ever need are in the bible.
Really? Okay, then tell me this:
I need a chapter and verse that will tell me whether or not I should change jobs and move my family across the country. I need a “word” that tells me whether or not I should buy a new car or who I should marry.” You, Mr. “The-Bible-contains-all-the-answers-we-will-ever-need-to-live-a-happy-and-peaceful-life”, show me where those scriptures are that apply to ME, the individual who is wanting to make life choices that are the best for me, my family, my job, my education, etc. You don’t know where they are, do you? The answer is that you can’t, because they aren’t there.
And if you say to “pray about it, and God will answer your prayer”, do you play “pin the tail on the verse” with your bible? Say a prayer, close your eyes, open your bible and just point at some place on the page, and hope to God it doesn’t say “Give away all you have and follow me?” Or how about the one in Isaiah where God tells him to go and cook his food over DUNG??? That would be helpful, right?
THAT is witchcraft and sorcery, my friends, pure and simple….trying to “conjure up” an answer by using an “idol”. Yes…an idol, and a “wooden idol” at that!! Your precious book of answers is constructed from “wood”. Paper is created from wood pulp, so in a manner of speaking, the book filled with paper pages you worship as on par with God is an “idol of wood”. I’m just pointing things out to you that you probably never thought of before. Do you even know how many verses in the bible tell us NOT to worship idols of wood and stone (law)???? Lots more than will support the reverence to a book.
And if you say that prayer is the answer, and you will just “know” what to do, then every Bible Thumper out there will have just proved MY point….that it IS the leading and witness of the Holy Spirit that GUIDES US as the final authority….not just the words written in a book, the understanding of which very few people have achieved on any significant level.
Now I’m going to tell you how I knew all of this.
I was brought up in a ‘bible-study is necessary” environment, just like many of you. I really believed it. And one day, I’m walking from my living room to my kitchen, minding my own business, not even doing anything but cleaning house and living life, and inside me, I “hear” this voice, this sentence: “Study doesn’t mean what they say it does.”
So after shaking my head, and wondering if I needed to cast out that demon who was obviously trying to trick me, I go and actually ‘study’ about “studying” (ironic, isn’t it?).
Once I got the Strong’s out and realized it was true, THEN the rest of the revelation began to pour into me, and I made the connections easily and effortlessly, because it was what God was doing with ME, at the right time. All I had to do was LISTEN when He spoke, and be “diligent” to show myself approved unto God (because I was obedient, not because I “studied”), and I learned how to “rightly divide” (in that instance) “the word of truth” which was spoken into my Spirit. And once you have received such an illumination and understanding that you KNOW doesn’t come from your own paradigms and mental gymnastics, it becomes a ROCK…not a brick of clay and sand that will eventually crumble underneath you.
Thanks for your attention. You don’t have to believe me, but you do have to hold it up to light and keep what is good. If you want to know the truth, to the point that even if it contradicts and completely destroys your own previously held paradigms, He will show you. If you don’t, and you only want confirmation of your idolatrous beliefs, He’ll let you do that. He’ll even send you a strong delusion (II Thess. 2:10-13) because you refused to receive the love of the truth, and you’ll just continue to hunker down in your own carnal ideas like millions of others do every day. He’ll even let you have prophets speaking to you according to the idols of your heart, confirming your false beliefs every step of the way (Ezekiel 14;1-12). THAT is written, old and new Testament, and I’ve seen it happen in myself, and I see it daily in others. Don’t be a fool, and stubborn and stiff-necked. All the Greek hermeneutics and theological gymnastics in the world can’t save you in that day.

Forgiven by Son to Father to walk anew

You are by Father through Son 100% forgiven!

Look far back to the cross, ask God what God wants you to see in truth.
Now ask yourself are you forgiven there?
How many sins did God take away at the cross for you?
Is there any more forgiveness to be executed to anyone on God's part after Christ?

Not easy to Fathom, but by God from God we are past tense forgiven. Ask is there anymore sacrifice, is there any more shedding of blood?
How has forgiveness always been executed, by what payment? Blood right?
So if I am to ask God for more forgiveness, when I sin if I sin, will God shed anymore blood, do anymore sacrifices?

Just something to ponder on between God and you
And I am not saying go and take God's forgiveness for granted, because one is 100% forgiven. I am saying Appreciate deeply in thanksgiving and praise to Father through Christ his Son, and thus so busy in this there is no time to sin, fro you are not thinking in the terms of if I sin or not.
1 John 2

New International Version (NIV)

2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

One who tries to stop sin is trapped in sin to one extent or the other. Ever noticed when you accomplish how proud that makes you and when you fail how guilty that makes you. So we ask for more forgiveness from God, who has already past tense forgiven you, and try to do better, ever notice that? And we just as Humans continue to go on with our bad selves, If do not succeed the first time buck up move on ask for more forgiveness and feel better.

Is it possible that this way of thinking is a major error to truth? For as a man thinks so is he?

Galatians 6:8

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

See that verse above about flesh, and just even thinking about it does, keeps one captive in trying to be righteous and can't be, if you have something that you keep asking forgiveness for over and over again
praying this might help you in answering your prayer

Sisters and Brothers, it is not easy to see it is all God and none of you, me or anyone else, after being brought up in life as the center of attention. All the people ooing and gawing over us when we are first born, and we get taught to do good or else

Told lies in traditions as in Easter, Christmas and so on, is accepted in society as true, when it is not. Just like do good and you will get good. It is a lie, for we all here on earth have troubles and some more than others regardless of being good or bad.
The trying to be good is the failure in being well. And the just being bad is not well either, what a straight betwixt one is in, trying to do good and getting bad. trying to do good and doing bad instead.
So how can one rise above these true circumstances that is in everyone of us?

This the ? while in the error of trying to do what is right, we find we can't. We hear give up and let God, so how?
Inquiring minds want to know, yours, mine, and many others as well

It is like being on a teeter totter, you on one side and me on the other, one day you are up and I am down, sometimes we meet in the middle, and then one is up while another is down
Get the picture and what we all are attempting to do and be working hard at this to be equal one to another, and as we try we either go up to pride or down in quilt, all from this worlds interpretations of who God is. Not seeing the Mercy through Son to all, and thus maybe in reception of it, not seeing it, the enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy this truth of God's Mercy to all and has caused us to work out our on salvation in fear and trembling, going up and down as a teeter totter does.

Seeing past that and remembering God is in the center, the middle and notice God never goes up and down always remains the same in love and Mercy.
This is what God has given you and the enemy wants to keep you from seeing, even though by God you have it. The enemy can do nothing about the fact that by Father through Son you are saved. So the enemy has gone to great lengths to destroy you in guilt, doubt to stop you from telling truth to others, that God just love you period, and anyone that builds from there sees the truth and this truth sets them free to be God's freeman or bondman in truth

Praying this helps to your walk in God through Son, seeing to give all credit to Father through Son and be thankful to Father, even if you do sin as in thanking Father for the forgiveness provided at the cross for all.
Then after rejoicing you are forgiven ask God to take your reins and lead, you follow
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:2 and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Love beyond measure

God’s type of love to all

I personally found tihs to be for me the only way to pass on this new life is through Christ and can only be achieved through God's words through me via the Holy Ghost he gave me
Seeing Matt 10:16-20 personal and to anyone else God reveals this to as well

Matthew 10:16-20

New International Version (NIV)

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Think, is this for you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to be led rather than lead and hope to be led
Does not hope to be led fall short of being led. I mean is to hope for and ask please a form of doubt the same as when one adds to their yes answer with; I promise? Should not the yes answer be enough or the no answer?
So to say I believe and believe are apart are they not?
I say this seeing many a trying to beleive in full by doing works, and continue to fall short and repent over and over again, attaining, gaining, feeling good about what they are doing, and then comes another tidal wave, and sin, in anger over it, not ever coming to the finalization of the cross, trying over and over to do it right perfectly.

If this is you, or anyone else reading here, praying you come to terms, by God through Son you are forgiven. Then go to God the Father and seek from God not man to know truth that keeps you walking in God the Father through Son, no more self works masquerading as God's works As this world has taken on this gloss and is very convincing that it is us that have to do something more than what is already done for us through Son

Frustrating grace with law

Frustrating grace with law

Romans 10:4

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Galatians 3:23-25

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Ephesians 2:15

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Galatians 2:21

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 6:2

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Matthew 22:37-39

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 22:40

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Now, this does not mean the Old Testament law is irrelevant today. Many of the commands in the Old Testament law fall into the categories of “loving God” and “loving your neighbor.” The Old Testament law can be a good guidepost for knowing how to love God and knowing what goes into loving your neighbor. At the same time, to say that the Old Testament law applies to Christians today is incorrect. The Old Testament law is a unit (James 2:10). Either all of it applies, or none of it applies. If Christ fulfilled some of it, such as the sacrificial system, He fulfilled all of it.

“This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his comma
nds are not burdensome

James 2:10

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

1 John 5:3

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
The Ten Commandments were essentially a summary of the entire Old Testament law. Nine of the Ten Commandments are clearly repeated in the New Testament (all except the command to observe the Sabbath day). Obviously, if we are loving God, we will not be worshipping false gods or bowing down before idols. If we are loving our neighbors, we will not be murdering them, lying to them, committing adultery against them, or coveting what belongs to them. The purpose of the Old Testament law is to convict people of our inability to keep the law and point us to our need for Jesus Christ as Savior

Romans 7:7-9

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

Galatians 3:24

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time. We are to love God and love our neighbors. If we obey those two commands faithfully, we will be upholding all that God requires of us.

We love him, because he first loved us.

Now if we endeavor to find the depth of this love of God to us, might we not love back just as deep as we see the Love of God?

Ephesians 3:16-18

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

So you all, let us not frustrate this amazing grace and take advantage or get caught up in trying to obey it of our own flesh, that we walk away from it, being impossible to do from a flesh stand point, frustrated in wanting to obey and just can’t. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy through either getting us to take God’s love for granted; with I am forgiven so I can harm others, because I am forgiven.

Now that one sees not to take it for granted here comes the next twist to keep one from rest in our savior, Jesus Christ. You have to be perfect now through obeying Law.

See the straight betwixt? On one side God is taken for granted, and Forgiveness is used as an excuse for the flesh to sin, Christ being one’s escape goat.

On the other hand, Forgiveness is appreciated and not taken for granted, and one has become aware of their sin. Then one tries to stop sin in and of themselves and in everyone else around them. Frustrated this way and the other not, one is taking advantage and the other is killing you.
So how many of us have given up? Frustrated and how many of us hate to be frustrated?

Galatians 2:21

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Okay, have we got a picture of the mystery yet?
Are we seeing the deception from the enemy to subvert the Christ and his finished work for you personally?
Did he die for the sins of the whole world, are we by Christ forgiven or not?

and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

You see this we are forgiven past tense, it is done for you and the entire world back at the cross? Is where the final sacrifice and shedding of blood has taken place, it is done, past tense, see it or not, love you no matter what is what God is saying waiting for us to appreciate this and receive this type of love and give it out a gift to all.

So what to do with this? Take it for granted and not really care or care enough to strive in the energy of our own flesh and be frustrated to death? And then walk away in total disgust over it? Or wake up in God’s finished work fro you and rejoice from the mountain top as Martin Luther did and my Brother John Schultz the third, when he told us, That God just loved him, and believe this he worked hard to enter God’s rest and did by seeing that God just loved him and all peoples.

Wake up I pray, we see by the grace of God we are made perfect and not of self by God through Son Jesus Christ and ask God for the new life in Spirit that God came to give, for now one might see how the enemy is still out to steal, kill and destroy through putting one under law or putting one under taking this Mercy from God through Christ for granted
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

What do you think this life more abundantly is in flesh or Spirit of God?
Love you and all, by God. God does just love you, working on that as the basis, God shows you the light and you decide when you see this amazing light from God as to believe God or not?
Homwardbound,  Love to all

Unrealistic expectations

Expectations that do not come to fruition can destroy one, the future is always unknown so maybe live in the present? Is that why it is called the "Present" it is a present of life for today, for who knows if tomorrow will be here, and who cares, the present is still a present to  you, me and all, so how about we make the best of it, no matter what it appears to be. I see change thoughts and feelings change with them. And trying to change feelings never at least for me never has changed thoughts, rather thinking on feelings reinforced the thoughts that created those feelings in the first place. So by one's viewpoint and manifesting on that viewpoint brings forth feelings as a result of ones viewpoint. So either I have stinking thinking that creates bad feelings that keeps me trapped or I can change the thoughts that created those feelings and have Faith that God does just love me, you and you also

eye becomes heart as heart becomes eye

Seeing is believing or is believing seeing, some deep gold nugget in the above saying?

A scale for us to look at and ponder where we are at right now in our belief in God

  1. Strong theist. 100 per cent probability of God In the words of C.G. Jung, ‘I do not believe, I know.’

    2. Very high probability but short of 100 per cent. De facto theist. ‘I cannot know for certain, but I strongly believe in God and live my life on the assumption that he is there.’

    3. Higher than 50 per cent but not very high. Technically agnostic but leaning towards theism. ‘I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God.’

    4. Exactly 50 per cent. Completely impartial agnostic. ‘God’s existence and non-existence are exactly equiprobable.’

    5. Lower than 50 per cent but not very low. Technically agnostic but leaning towards atheism. ‘I don’t know whether God exists but I’m inclined to be sceptical.’

    6. Very low probability, but short of zero. De facto atheist. ‘I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable, and I live my life on the assumption that he is not there.’

    7. Strong atheist. ‘I know there is no God, with the same conviction as Jung “knows” there is one.’

Where would you place yourself? Are you a one, a two?

So again for me it is believing that I stayed on and came to see more and more of God’s love to us all that changed me anyway to love all, not just those that love me

Joel Brueseke Grace Roots Welcome to Grace Roots!  If you're tired of striving and struggling to make your life worth something to God, then my hope is that you'll find some rest and peace here.  I believe that what God wants from you more than anything else is... you!  As a Christian, you have an unbreakable bond with God Himself (see 1 Cor. 6:17Rom. 8:35-39), and as you become more and more established and solidified in His unwavering love, commitment and faithfulness to you, this relationship naturally results in fruit that fleshly struggling and striving can never produce.
In order for any plant to grow and thrive and to bear good fruit, it needs to dig its roots deeper and deeper into good soil. Grace is the fertile soil in which real life and godly nutrition for the Christian are found.  It takes time for our roots to become firmly established in the fertile soil of grace.  In one particular Psalm, we find a great description of what can happen in the lives of those who grow in God's grace over a period of time: They shall flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall bear fruit and they shall be fresh and flourishing! (See Psalm 92:12-14).

Does the above description fit your life?  If not, what should you do? Should you try harder to get yourself "right with God?"  Perhaps you've got a list of things to do or resolutions to keep or steps to take or principles to follow or (you name it) in order to make your life more in line with God's ways.  But yet you've been there, done that!  You've tried and failed so many times you've lost count.
I offer you a suggestion.  STOP trying!  I know you want to bear godly fruit.  (Or perhaps all the obligations of Christian 'duty' have left you so worn out and indifferent and calloused that you don't give a rip anymore).  The point is, you don't need to try harder.  You need rest and you need peace!
So remove the mask.  Stop the charade.  Stop faking it!  End the struggle.  Jesus isn't struggling with you!  He's calling you to rest and peace.  He says, "Come to Me and I will give you rest."  Stop trying, and instead find the rest you need in Jesus, and get your roots established in the fertile soil of His love and grace.  Let go of the notion that you need to do great things for God, and instead start trusting that He is the only one capable of doing anything great with your life!  And He will if you quit trying! is good that the heart be established by grace... (Heb 13:9 NKJV)

...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...
(2 Pet 3:18 KJV)

Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught...
(Col 2:7 NLT)
